The process of dispatching HolaBot was well thought out as well, with the included Smart Watch that can call the robot over to the table that needs to be cleared out. Bussers can simply head over to the table with empty bussing tubs, call the robot over with the Smart Watch and fill the bussing tubs while the robot makes it way over to the table. Once the robot arrives, calling out “Hola Hola” will have the robot turn around for easy loading of the bussing trays. Simply gesture your hand across the top of the robot and the robot will make its way to the dishwashing station without requiring any contact, keeping the robot touch screen clear of smudging from dirty hands.

BellaBot comes with four large trays that can each accommodate two typical dinner plates, or one large specialty plate. Restaurants with larger footprints where it’s quite a ways away from the front entrance to the more distant tables were having a crisis when the restaurant was packed; the host would be taking far too long to take guests to their tables meaning there was nobody to greet new patrons who just walked in the door. Hiring another receptionist or host just for this purpose didn’t make much sense, especially during downtime when the restaurant was less busy, so the owners used the KettyBot to take guests to their tables. Multi-table Delivery Mode and Cruise Mode: KettyBot can be used to deliver food to tables. Built-in queuing system allows you to punch in the destination of the food to two different tables for the two different trays. KettyBot can also be set to cruise mode to roam around the premises and catch the attention of passersbys. Built-in LIDAR and visual sensors allow for better obstacle detection, accurate positioning and safer operations. Internal mapping algorithms allow the KettyBot to find the most efficient route to its destination.

Advanced algorithms for obstacle avoidance are implemented to ensure the safety of those around the robot. In addition to LIDAR, multiple visual sensors are implemented to go beyond simple 2D perception and ensure accurate detection in 3D perception…including any blind spots.
